Case studies of drugs and medicalproducts illustrate the product development-product testing cycle,patent protection, and FDA approval. It is designed for science andnon-science majors. Course Structure:This Yale College course,taught on campus twice per week for 50 minutes, was recorded for OpenYale Courses in Spring 2008. The chair of the Department of BiomedicalEngineering, Professor Saltzman is also the recipient of numerousdistinguished teaching awards from Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, andthe University of Pennsylvania.
